Abstract [en]
Collaboration within navy Navigation Teams is progressively more dependent on technological means since they are the information sources and team members need toshare and exchange different information formats. Furthermore, operators’ tasks areincreasingly restricted by procedures established on information provided by various sources, constraining experts’ feedback and learning. Moreover, interfaces areoften poorly adapted to the user’s task and work context, imposing a substantial cognitive effort due to the required adaptations. Therefore, the envisaged solution isfitted to the vessels’ bridge systems requirements embracing prerequisites like beingcustomisable, enabling goals and priorities’ management, logging performance andbehavioural data, sharing information, supporting information synchronisation, andproviding situational awareness about the situation, system and operators.
